INDEPENDENT LIVING

Independent living at The Alexander is designed for older adults who can manage their daily lives without assistance but seek the convenience, social opportunities, and enhanced safety that our community offers. Nestled in the part of the building closest to the waterfront, we offer studios, one-bedroom and two-bedroom suites.

ASSISTED LIVING

At The Alexander, our assisted living option is for older adults who may need help with medication management, mobility, and daily activities like bathing, dressing, eating, and toileting. Our continuous assessment of your needs will enable us to anticipate that the appropriate level of care is always in place. Our dedicated team is here to provide you with the right level of support so that you can continue to enjoy a fulfilling lifestyle and not have to move again.

DEMENTIA CARE

Dementia, which includes conditions like Alzheimer’s disease, is characterized by a decline in memory, reasoning, and other cognitive functions. Dementia Care at The Alexander provides compassionate support that meets thoughtful design and a nurturing environment for our residents facing challenges associated with dementia. Located on the first floor, our Dementia Care area allows residents to safely move around freely while providing families with peace of mind. We want our residents to thrive and to be as independent for as long as possible. Residents will engage in purposeful activities individualized to their preferences and personal history. Our staff members will receive specialized training in dementia care. Within the dedicated Dementia Care floor, residents have access to various common amenity spaces, including a family room, a quieter lounge, and a dining room that opens up to our Memory Care Garden.

PALLIATIVE CARE

Palliative care is an approach to care, not a diagnosis, that can be offered in any setting, at any time, for anyone living with a serious illness. Palliative care supports you to find the beauty in life and thrive. At The Alexander, our staff will receive education on a palliative approach to care so that the focus is on your quality of life.
